most advanced digital cameras in its class, featuring advanced power management,
storage for up to 192MB of photos1, plus a full range of drivers and software
for photo and video manipulation. And all this in a glamorous package weighing

The new Digital IXUS v - the ultimate digital
accessory.
Features
Ultra-Compact, Smart and Trendy Look
The Digital IXUS v boasts the same compact dimensions as the Digital
IXUS, measuring only 87 x 57 x 27mm (excluding parts protruding during
operation) and weighs a mere 190g (excluding battery and CF card), making
it one of the smallest and lightest 2.1 megapixel cameras in the world.
The Digital IXUS v also sports an ultra-compact, retractable 2x (35 - 70mm)
zoom lens. Its power-saving configuration and CPU require only a
single Li-ion battery for long-duration operation.
Direct Printing with the Canon's Card Photo Printer CP-10
In direct-print mode and controlling all print settings directly, the
Digital IXUS v can be linked by cable to Canon's CP-10 printer to produce
top-quality hard copies. The CP-10 can print credit card-sized, 300 x 300
dpi resolution colour prints, or eight miniature copies of the same image
on one sticker sheet, in less than 60 seconds.
Record and Playback Movie Clips with Sound
The Digital IXUS v also records movie clips - with sound - at
20 images per second in one of three recording pixel modes: 640 x 480,
320 x 240, or 160 x 120. A clip can be recorded as high-resolution
VGA movie, with image data saved in Motion JPEG format and the sound in
WAVE format. After downloading, audio-video playback is possible
using either a TV monitor or a compatible PC. Downloaded movie clips
can be edited, saved, and sent to others via email using the bundled software.
High Image Quality
The high-resolution, 1/2.7-inch type, 2.11 megapixel CCD ensures crystal-clear
digital image quality. High-precision white balance (Auto + 4-position
preset white balance) gives optimum color temperature at all times, while
the intelligent AE guarantees optimum exposure for every shot - even under
extreme light conditions.
Easy Operation
The digital zoom allows the angle of view to vary gradually - 2.5x
(max. 5.0x together with the optical zoom) - thus maintaining high image
quality. The smart 3-point AiAF (Artificial Intelligence Auto-focus) makes
focusing easier than ever. And when using the direct link to the TV for
reviewing your shots, your Digital IXUS v offers a selectable video output
signal (NTSC/PAL).
Software
Canon supplies a full range of software and drivers with the Digital
IXUS v. These include QuickTime 4.1 Movie Player; easy-to-use image-editor
ZoomBrowser Ex 2.6 (Win) and ImageBrowser 1.6 (Mac); PhotoRecord 1.2 (Win)
for easy layout and printing of multiple images; PhotoStitch 3.1 for seamless
panoramic shots; RemoteCapture 1.3, to press the shutter directly from,
and transfer images directly to, your PC; as well as USB TWAIN Driver 3.6
(Win)/USB WIA Driver for Win ME/Plug-In Module 3.6 (Mac).
