Versatile Shooting and Recording Modes

The FinePix6800 Zoom programmed AE optimizes the expo-sure
control using a high-precision 64-zone TTL metering sys-tem
with auto white balance. It provides the right exposure
under difficult lighting conditions, so that your images will
always have a natural and faithful color balance.
You can enjoy all the functions that the camera offers, rang-ing
from simple automatic point-and-shooting, creative manual
shooting, continuous shooting (at 0.2 sec./frame for up to 5
frames) and auto exposure bracketing (from 1/3, 2/3 and 1 EV
increments) to movie recording (320 �L 240 pixel AVI video
with sound), and audio recording. Committed to the evolution
of digital cameras, Fujifilm has added new features to this
camera, such as voice captioning that can be attached to
captured images.

Creative Options

In manual mode, you can demonstrate your creativity to the
fullest extent, supported by an adjustable ISO value (from ISO
100 to 400 equivalent), manual focus, EV exposure compensa-tion
(from �E to +2 EV in 1/3 EV steps), white balance over-ride,
metering mode (64-zone TTL multi, spot or average),
sharpness setting, flash intensity, black-and-white shooting,
macro shooting, multiple-exposure shooting and others.

Various Playback Modes

The FinePix6800 Zoom has a high-resolution 2-inch low-temperature
polysilicon TFT color LCD monitor with
130,000 pixels for viewing captured images. In addition to
the single-frame playback mode, movie, 9 multi-frame and
auto playback modes are also available. You can even use
zoom playback to select a portion of the image for saving as
a new image.
 

Other useful features

The built-in pop-up flash offers a variety of flash modes
such as auto flash, flash cancel, forced flash, slow sync, and
red-eye reduction.
When the power is switched on, the automatic built-in
lens cover will open and the lens will extend. The cover is
finished in an aluminum alloy to create a sophisticated look
while protecting the lens from dust.
The FinePix6800 Zoom is powered by a NP-80 recharge-able
lithium-ion battery that is capable of taking as many
as 250 pictures*.

A USB interface is equipped to allow high-speed transfer of
image data to a PC.

Super CCD
The Super CCD mounted in the FinePix6800 Zoom is a
newly developed 3.3-million pixel Super CCD that realizes
ultra high-resolution image files with 6.0 million pixels
(2832 �L 2128 pixels). It is the first FinePix to provide six-megapixel
high-resolution image files for non-professional
users. The image quality of the new Super CCD has been
further improved over previous Super CCD’s in resolution,
S/N ratio and color reproduction.
Fujifilm Super CCDs achieve higher sensitivity, a wider
dynamic range, higher S/N ratios, and more faithful color
reproduction, improving total image quality compared to
conventional CCDs. As a result, they let you enjoy natural,
clear and sharp images. Along with the Super CCD, the
ASIC chip for high-speed processing of all camera functions
offers fast start-up and shooting interval times. In fact, the
FinePix6800 Zoom is ready to shoot approximately two
seconds after switching on and enables shooting at mini-mum
one-second intervals.

3x Optical Zoom and Up to 4.45 Digital Zoom

The FinePix6800 Zoom features a high-precision 35 Super
EBC (Electron Beam Coating) Fujinon lens* (equivalent to 36-
108mm on a 35mm camera) with a large aperture of F2.8 that
delivers outstanding detail and clarity. The lens maximizes the
power of the Super CCD and delivers excellent images with-out
aberrations, even with the optical zoom fully extended,
giving 3x enlargement. The smooth digital zoom offers high-definition
images throughout the zoom range and adds an
additional enlarging effect up to 4.45**. Combined with the
35 optical zoom, FinePix6800 Zoom’s total magnification
effect can be up to approximately 13.25 (475mm equivalent).

One-Hand Operation

The Porsche Design Studio has refined the vertically shaped
design of the FinePix6800 Zoom, ensuring improved grip for
more secure and comfortable handling. Switches and other
operational buttons are also clearly laid out on the back of
the camera body, enabling all operations to be carried out
using one hand in a truly user-friendly design. Other design
improvements are apparent, too. For example, you can
change the shooting mode very easily using the index finger
of your right hand. The optical viewfinder on the left side of
the back of the body is more user-friendly than in other
FinePix models, while the small dot-matrix LCD inside the
four-direction button is brighter and easier to use.
