i.LINK DV Interface(IEEE1394) 

Digital interface that allows two-way, pure digital communication between two DV cams and/or other DV related devices, such as capture boards, PCs, etc. 

(Super) LaserLink™ Wireless Connection with TV Control 

Extends the distance by one full meter than previous year modes allowing the user to beam video and audio from the camcorder to a TV without need for wires, or adapters from up to 26 feet away using optional receiver. 

SteadyShot Picture Stabilization 

Uses motion sensors and HyperPrecision CCD's to detect camera movement, and eliminates hand shake without compromising picture quality. 

Intelligent Accessory Shoe 

Another Sony exclusive, the Intelligent Accessory Shoe not only provides power to any of the Intelligent Accessories, such as the HVL-S3D 3-watt video light, or the ECM-HS1 Zoom Mic, it also provides synchronized on/off operation and in the case of the Zoom Mic it actually changes the pick up pattern of the mic to match the zoom lens. 
 

SwivelScreen™ LCD Display 

The color LCD monitor that swivels 270 degrees for viewing at any angle, and even goes into the "mirror mode" where the subjects see themselves in the LCD and the operator sees them in the viewfinder.
